4 Ingredient Orange Salmon Recipe

When I first tried the 4-ingredient orange salmon recipe, I couldn’t believe how something so simple could taste this good. The sweet and tangy orange glaze perfectly complemented the savory salmon, making a dish that felt restaurant-quality without all the effort.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets
  • Orange marmalade
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic

Method

  1. Start by setting your oven to 375°F (190°C). Preheating ensures that the salmon bakes evenly and develops that perfect flaky texture.
  2. Using a saucepan over medium heat, combine the orange marmalade, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir continuously until the mixture is well-combined and slightly thickened. It should be smooth and glossy in about 5 minutes. Once it’s ready, set it aside to cool slightly.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. This prevents sticking and makes cleanup a breeze.
  4. Generously brush or spoon the orange glaze over the salmon fillets. Be sure to coat each piece evenly so the flavors soak right in.
  5. Bake the salmon in your preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. The timing may vary slightly depending on the thickness of your fillets. The salmon is ready when it flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove the salmon from the oven and allow it to cool for a minute. For a pop of freshness and color, garnish with chopped parsley or sliced green onions before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Room Temperature Fillets: Bring your salmon to room temperature before baking for even cooking.
  • Basting Bonus: Halfway through baking, apply another layer of glaze to enhance the flavor.
  • Don’t Overcook: Keep an eye on the oven, as overbaking can make the salmon dry.
