Bubble Gum Colada Recipe

I recently made this Bubble Gum Colada at home, and it instantly became one of my favorite fun drinks for summer evenings. The creamy tropical flavor mixed with the sweet bubble gum taste created such a colorful and exciting treat. I loved how refreshing and smooth every sip felt after blending everything together.
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup bubble gum syrup
  • 1/2 cup white rum
  • 1/4 cup grenadine syrup
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish
  • Pink sprinkles for garnish

Method

  1. Start by gathering every ingredient on your kitchen counter before blending. I always prefer chilling the pineapple juice and coconut cream first because it helps create a colder and smoother drink.
  2. Measure the bubble gum syrup, rum, and grenadine carefully to keep the flavors balanced. If you want a thicker texture, you can add a little extra ice cream or a few more ice cubes. Preparing everything first makes the blending process much easier and faster.
  3. Add the pineapple juice, coconut cream, bubble gum syrup, white rum, vanilla ice cream, and ice cubes into the blender. Blend everything together on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  4. I noticed that blending for about one full minute gives the drink a perfect frozen consistency. If the mixture looks too thick, add a small splash of pineapple juice. If it seems thin, blend in a few extra ice cubes until the texture becomes rich and frosty.
  5. Pour the grenadine syrup slowly into the blended drink and pulse the blender briefly. This creates a beautiful pink color while adding a slightly fruity sweetness to the colada.
  6. I like not overmixing at this stage because the layered pink swirls make the drink look more attractive. The combination of coconut, pineapple, and bubble gum flavor creates a unique tropical dessert-style drink that feels fun and refreshing.
  7. Take chilled serving glasses and drizzle a little grenadine around the inside edges for extra color. This small step makes the presentation look more vibrant and party-ready.
  8. Carefully pour the blended Bubble Gum Colada mixture into each glass. Leave a little space at the top for whipped cream and garnishes. Serving the drink immediately keeps the frozen texture creamy and smooth.
  9. Top each drink with whipped cream for a rich finishing touch. Add maraschino cherries and pink sprinkles on top to make the drink look colorful and festive.
  10. I personally enjoy adding extra sprinkles because they give the drink a playful candy-shop appearance. You can also place a fun straw or pineapple slice on the side for an even more tropical presentation.
  11. Serve the Bubble Gum Colada immediately while it is cold and frosty. The creamy coconut texture mixed with sweet fruity flavors tastes best right after blending.
  12. I usually make this drink for summer parties, movie nights, or casual gatherings with friends because everyone loves its bright color and dessert-like flavor. It feels refreshing, creamy, and fun all at the same time.

Notes

  • I always use chilled pineapple juice because it keeps the drink colder for longer.
  • I found that adding vanilla ice cream makes the colada creamier and smoother.
  • I prefer blending the ice gradually to avoid large chunks in the drink.
  • I like using extra grenadine for a brighter pink color and sweeter flavor.
  • I usually chill the serving glasses beforehand because it keeps the drink frosty.
  • I noticed fresh whipped cream tastes much better than canned topping.
  • I sometimes skip the rum to make a fun non-alcoholic version for family gatherings.
  • I recommend serving the drink immediately because the frozen texture melts quickly.
