I started by mixing pickle juice, milk, sugar, and spices in a bowl. Then I placed the chicken breasts inside and let them soak up all that flavor.
I recommend marinating for at least 1–2 hours for best results. This step is what gives the chicken its signature Chick-fil-A taste.
I preheated my grill and cooked the marinated chicken until it was golden and juicy. The smell while grilling was absolutely amazing.
Make sure you don’t overcook it, or the chicken may turn dry. I grilled each side until nice char marks appeared.
While the chicken rested, I cooked bacon in a skillet until it turned crispy and golden. This adds the perfect crunch.
I always drain excess fat on a paper towel to keep it crisp for layering.
I toasted the buns lightly to add warmth and texture. Then I layered lettuce, tomato, grilled chicken, bacon, and cheese.
Finally, I drizzled honey roasted BBQ sauce for that classic finishing touch. Every bite was packed with flavor.
