When I first made this chili crunch garlic bread, it felt like a game-changer in my kitchen. The spicy chili crunch added a bold twist to the familiar warmth of classic garlic bread, and the result was insanely addictive.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened: Soft butter is easy to spread and ensures even flavor.
  • 3 garlic cloves minced: Fresh garlic adds a punchy aroma and depth of flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons chili crunch: Introduces spice crunch, and nutty richness to the bread.
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder: Enhances the overall garlicky goodness.
  • 1 large baguette: A crusty baguette holds the spread perfectly without getting soggy.
  • 1 cup Italian cheese blend shredded: Melts beautifully, adding the right amount of creaminess.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped: Provides a fresh pop of color and flavor for garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped: Adds a fragrant, herby finish.

Method

  1. To start, take out a small mixing bowl and add the softened butter. Mix in the minced garlic, chili crunch, and garlic powder, stirring until it forms a smooth and vibrant spread. The chili crunch will give the mixture a deliciously nutty, red swirl.
  2. Take the baguette, and with a sharp knife, cut it into quarters. Then, slice each quarter lengthwise to reveal the soft, fluffy interior. These slices are the perfect canvas for all that buttery goodness!
  3. Place the sliced baguette pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the chili crunch garlic butter over the cut side of each piece, making sure the edges are coated as well. A little extra butter never hurt anyone!
  4. Sprinkle a generous helping of shredded Italian cheese blend on top of each slice. For an extra hint of spice, drizzle a bit of chili crunch over the cheese. This step takes the bread to a whole new level of indulgent greatness.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake the bread for about 10–12 minutes. Keep an eye on it toward the end to make sure the cheese melts evenly and turns deliciously crispy around the edges.
  6. Remove the bread from the oven, and immediately sprinkle it with fresh parsley and basil. The fresh herbs add a vibrant finish that balances the richness of the other flavors. Serve warm and watch it disappear in no time!

Notes

  • Room-Temperature Butter is Key: Softened butter spreads evenly and mixes easily with the garlic and chili crunch.
  • Don’t Skip Fresh Herbs: Fresh parsley and basil enhance the presentation and flavor, making the dish pop.
  • Layer the Flavors: Adding a second drizzle of chili crunch after baking intensifies the spiciness and makes the bread look extra fancy.
  • Use High-Quality Baguette: A fresh, crusty baguette holds up well to the buttery spread and stays crispy after baking.
