Easy Baked Shrimp Parmesan Recipe

The first time I brought this dish to the table, I felt like a total culinary genius. You wouldn’t believe how simple it is to create shrimp so flavorful, yet so easy.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup melted butter: Adds a rich buttery base that coats the shrimp beautifully.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese: Use freshly grated Parmesan for the absolute best texture and flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper: Adds just the right amount of warmth.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder: For that perfect garlicky kick! You can also replace it with 1 clove minced garlic for a fresh, sharpness.
  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined: The star of the dish! Their size keeps the shrimp juicy.
  • Cooking spray avocado oil works wonderfully: Ensures a crispy, non-stick surface.

Method

  1. First, preheat your oven to 450°F for that perfect roasting temperature. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Melt the butter in one shallow bowl and stir together the Parmesan, garlic powder, and black pepper in another. Little tip? Give the Parmesan mixture a quick whisk before coating!
  2. Dip each shrimp into the melted butter, ensuring it’s fully coated. Then roll the shrimp in the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to help the coating stick. The cheesy crust is what makes this recipe shine, and this step is so satisfying!
  3. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. A quick spray of cooking oil will make sure they crisp up nicely. Pop them into the oven for just 10 minutes. Keep an eye on them; overcooked shrimp can get rubbery.
  4. Pull the shrimp out of the oven once they’re golden and fragrant. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a fresh, vibrant touch. Serve immediately, because this dish is best eaten hot and crispy. It’s heaven on a plate!

Notes

  • Always use jumbo shrimp. They stay juicy and tender even after baking.
  • Keep the Parmesan mixture dry. Divide it into two bowls so it doesn’t clump.
  • Stick to the 10-minute cook time. Overcooking makes the shrimp tough.
  • Try adding a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving for a zesty pop of flavor.
