Easy Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls Recipe

I just made these Easy Jalapeño Popper Crescent Rolls, and wow, they were a hit! From the first bite, I could taste the creamy cheese, crispy bacon, and just the right amount of jalapeño heat. They were surprisingly simple to make, yet felt fancy enough for guests. I had fun rolling the crescent dough around the flavorful filling, and my kitchen smelled amazing.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon – Cooked until crispy and chopped; adds smoky flavor.
  • 8 oz cream cheese – Softened to room temperature for smooth mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese – Freshly grated works best for melty rich flavor.
  • 2 jalapeños – Seeds removed and finely diced; controls heat level.
  • 2 green onions – Thinly sliced for a fresh bite.
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough – Use refrigerated dough for best texture.
  • Optional dips – Ranch or bleu cheese for serving.

Method

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 375°F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. This ensures your crescent rolls bake evenly and don’t stick.Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Mix in crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, and sliced green onions until evenly combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Cut each triangle in half for smaller rolls. Spoon 1½ teaspoons of filling onto the wide end and roll up tightly.
  4. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet with about 2 inches between each. Bake for 11–13 minutes until lightly golden brown and puffy.
  5. Let the rolls cool slightly, then serve with your favorite ranch or bleu cheese dip. They’re best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.

Notes

  • I always use freshly shredded cheese for creamier, gooier rolls.
  • Make sure cream cheese is fully softened; it blends much easier.
  • I leave the jalapeño seeds out for mild heat, but keep them for extra kick.
  • Rolling the dough tightly helps prevent the filling from oozing during baking.
