Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers Recipe

The other day, I was hosting a small gathering at home, and I wanted to whip up something quick, delicious, and a bit on the fancy side. That’s when I decided to give Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers a try. Trust me, they were an instant hit. The flavors of tangy parmesan, zesty garlic, and juicy chicken grilled to perfection had everyone asking for the recipe.
Total Time 1 hour 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breasts Boneless, skinless—1 pound (cubed into bite-sized chunks)
  • Garlic Freshly minced–4 cloves
  • Parmesan Cheese Grated—½ cup
  • Olive Oil Extra Virgin—3 tablespoons
  • Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed—2 tablespoons
  • Salt and Black Pepper To taste
  • Paprika Optional, for a smoky kick—½ teaspoon

Method

  1. Wash the chicken under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut the chicken into small, even-sized cubes. This ensures they cook evenly.
  2. Grab a bowl and mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, parmesan, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until everything is well combined.
  3. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss them until evenly coated. Cover the bowl with cling wrap and place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. If you have time, marinate longer for maximum flavor.
  4. Take your skewers (remember to soak wooden ones in water first). Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers. Leave a small gap between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat and lightly grease it. Place the skewers on the hot grill and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally. Keep basting the chicken with leftover marinade for extra flavor.

Notes

  • Preheat the grill properly to ensure the chicken sears on the outside while staying juicy inside.
  • Don’t overcook! Chicken can dry out quickly, so keep an eye on the grill.
  • Add more parmesan toward the end for a cheesy crust on your chicken.
  • Make it spicy by adding red pepper flakes to the marinade.
