Garlic Pork Bites Recipe

I have to tell you, this Garlic Pork Bites recipe has quickly become one of my favorites to make and share. It’s not just about the incredible flavor (which, spoiler alert, is absolutely mouthwatering); it’s the crispiness, the garlic-rich aroma that fills the kitchen, and the fact that it’s so easy to whip up with everyday ingredients.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • Pork chunks
  • Garlic minced
  • Soy sauce
  • Honey
  • Sesame oil
  • Cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Green onions sliced
  • Sesame seeds

Method

  1. Start by combining minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil in a mixing bowl. Stir everything together until the marinade smells aromatic and looks well combined. Then, toss in the pork chunks. Make sure each piece gets coated in the garlicky goodness! Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. While the pork marinates, mix cornstarch, a pinch of salt, and pepper in a separate bowl. Take out your marinated pork and, piece by piece, roll them in the cornstarch mixture. This step gives them that signature crispy texture.
  3. Heat enough oil in a skillet or pan to fry the pork without sticking. When the oil is hot (but not smoking), gently place each coated pork chunk into the pan. Fry them in batches, turning them over after 2-3 minutes until they’re golden brown and crispy.
  4. Once fried, remove the pork bites using a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to remove excess oil. Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds over the top for a fresh and vibrant finish. Serve hot and crispy!

Notes

  • Use Fresh Garlic: The fresher the garlic, the stronger the flavor will be.
  • Marinate Long Enough: If you can, marinate the pork for an hour or longer for deeper flavor.
  • Don’t Skip the Cornstarch Coating: It’s the key to achieving irresistible crispy bites.
  • Avoid Overcrowding When Frying: Cook in small batches so all sides crisp up evenly
