High-Protein Frozen Peanut Butter Greek Yogurt Bites Recipe

I recently made these frozen peanut butter Greek yogurt bites, and honestly, they’ve become one of my favorite healthy treats. They’re creamy, slightly sweet, and packed with protein, which makes them perfect for a quick snack. I love how simple they are to prepare, yet they feel like a dessert.
Total Time 3 hours

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt – Use thick full-fat or 2% Greek yogurt for a creamy texture and higher protein content
  • ½ cup peanut butter – Choose natural peanut butter for better flavor and fewer additives
  • 2 –3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup – Adjust sweetness based on your preference
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract – Adds a subtle depth of flavor
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips optional – Adds a fun, dessert-like touch
  • Pinch of salt – Enhances all the flavors and balances sweetness

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt and peanut butter until smooth and creamy. I like to stir thoroughly so there are no lumps left. This ensures each bite has a consistent texture and flavor.
  2. Add honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the mixture. Stir well until everything is fully incorporated. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed.
  3. If you’re using chocolate chips or any add-ins, gently fold them into the mixture. I usually add mini chips because they distribute better. This step makes the bites more fun and indulgent.
  4. Scoop small portions onto a lined baking tray or into silicone molds. Try to keep them evenly sized for uniform freezing. I use a spoon or small cookie scoop for neat portions.
  5. Place the tray in the freezer for 2–3 hours or until the bites are completely solid. Once frozen, they’re ready to enjoy. I usually transfer them to a container afterward for storage.

Notes

  • I always use thick Greek yogurt because it makes the bites creamier and less icy
  • Let the peanut butter sit at room temperature before mixing for smoother blending
  • I like to add a drizzle of melted chocolate on top for extra flavor
  • Don’t skip the salt—it really enhances the sweetness
  • If the mixture feels too soft, I chill it for 10 minutes before shaping
