Mango Lemonade Recipe

I recently made this Mango Lemonade Recipe on a warm afternoon, and it instantly became one of my favorite homemade drinks. The combination of juicy mangoes and fresh citrus creates a bright, tropical flavor that tastes incredibly refreshing. I love how easy it is to blend together with just a few simple ingredients
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped ripe mango about 1–2 large mangoes – Use fully ripe mangoes for the sweetest flavor and smoothest texture.
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice – Fresh lemons provide the brightest and most refreshing taste.
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice – Adds an extra citrus kick and balances the sweetness.
  • ½ to 1 cup simple syrup – Adjust according to your preferred sweetness level.
  • 2 cups cold water – Helps achieve the perfect consistency and refreshing finish.
  • 4 fresh mint leaves optional – Great for garnish and a subtle cooling flavor.
  • Ice cubes for serving – Keep the lemonade perfectly chilled.

Method

  1. Start by peeling the mangoes and removing the pit. Cut the flesh into chunks so it blends easily and creates a smooth fruit puree. Using ripe mangoes gives the best sweetness and flavor.
  2. Add the mango chunks to a blender and process until completely smooth. The puree should be thick and creamy without large fruit pieces. This forms the flavorful base of the lemonade.
  3. Squeeze fresh lemons and lime until you have the required amount of juice. Fresh citrus juice creates a brighter flavor than bottled juice and gives the drink its refreshing tang.
  4. Pour the mango puree into a large pitcher. Add the lemon juice, lime juice, cold water, and your desired amount of simple syrup. Stir thoroughly until everything is evenly combined.
  5. Taste the lemonade and make any necessary adjustments. Add more water for a lighter drink, extra lemon juice for more tartness, or additional syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
  6. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for about an hour. Chilling allows the flavors to blend together and creates an extra-refreshing beverage.
  7. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled mango lemonade over the top. Garnish with mint leaves, lemon slices, or mango pieces for an attractive presentation.

Notes

  • I always choose mangoes that are fully ripe because they provide the sweetest and richest flavor.
  • I prefer freshly squeezed lemon juice since bottled juice doesn't taste as bright and fresh.
  • I chill the lemonade for at least an hour before serving to enhance the overall flavor.
  • I sometimes freeze mango chunks beforehand and blend them for a slushy-style drink.
  • I use lemons that feel heavy for their size because they usually contain more juice.
  • I stir the lemonade again right before serving since some fruit pulp naturally settles.
