Strawberry Cold Foam Recipe

I recently made this strawberry cold foam recipe at home, and I was honestly surprised by how easy it was. The foam turned out light, creamy, and packed with fresh strawberry flavor. I love adding it to iced coffee, matcha lattes, and even smoothies for a special touch. What makes this recipe even better is that it can be made with or without a blender
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 3 fresh strawberries rinsed and stems removed – Use ripe strawberries for the sweetest and most vibrant flavor. Fresh berries blend more smoothly and create a naturally fruity foam.
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream – Heavy cream is the secret to achieving a rich thick, and fluffy cold foam that sits beautifully on top of drinks.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – Adds warmth and depth while enhancing the strawberry flavor.
  • 1 –2 teaspoons sweetener of choice – Granulated sugar honey, maple syrup, agave, or a sugar substitute all work well. Adjust based on your taste preference.

Method

  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems. Using ripe berries will give the foam a naturally sweet flavor and beautiful pink color.
  2. Pat the strawberries dry before blending. Excess water can make the foam thinner than desired.
  3. Place the strawberries, heavy cream, and vanilla extract into a small blender. These ingredients create the base of the cold foam.
  4. Make sure the cream is cold, as chilled cream whips and thickens more effectively.
  5. Blend the mixture for about 1–2 minutes until it becomes smooth, airy, and fluffy. The strawberries should be completely incorporated.
  6. Once blended, taste the mixture and add sweetener as needed for your preferred level of sweetness.
  7. If you prefer not to use a blender, combine strawberry jam, heavy cream, and vanilla extract in a mason jar. This method is perfect when you're short on time.
  8. Seal the jar tightly and shake vigorously for 2–3 minutes until the mixture becomes thick and creamy. A handheld frother also works well.
  9. Taste the cold foam and add more sweetener if necessary. If using strawberry jam, you may need less sweetener because the jam already contains sugar.
  10. For a stronger strawberry flavor, add a little more jam or a small amount of freeze-dried strawberry powder.
  11. Spoon or pour the cold foam over iced coffee, cold brew, matcha latte, milk tea, or smoothies. The fluffy texture creates a beautiful layered look.
  12. Serve right away for the best texture and enjoy the creamy strawberry goodness.

Notes

  • I always use the ripest strawberries I can find because they provide a naturally sweeter flavor.
  • I chill the heavy cream before using it, which helps create a thicker and fluffier foam.
  • I prefer vanilla extract over artificial flavorings because it makes the foam taste more balanced.
  • I sometimes add a pinch of freeze-dried strawberry powder when I want a stronger berry flavor.
  • I avoid over-blending because too much blending can make the foam slightly runny.
  • I taste the mixture before adding all the sweetener since strawberries vary in sweetness.
